Regular Season Tournaments

Each year the tournament committee meets to create the schedule of 10 regular season events and club championship. Tournaments use a team format for each boat and teams may consist of one or two anglers with a five (5) fish limit per team. Each tournament is $60 per boat per day (i.e. two day tournaments are $120.00 per boat).

Early draw for tournament entries -- as an incentive to get entries prior to tournament day, EKB sends out an email a week or two before each event with the early draw deadline. All teams paid by the deadline are entered into the electronic draw system and given their takeoff order spot. Entries after the deadline are added to the list based on when payment was received. The last boat in the takeoff order calls out the takeoff order and checks live wells. Takeoff orders are posted on the club's Facebook page, the website and distributed via email.

Payments can be sent using PayPal to East KS Bassmasters. Make sure to include your name in the notes section. It is helpful if each team submits one payment instead of each angler submitting individual payments.

First place, second place and big bass receive trophies at each event.

Club Championship

The club championship is a 2 day tournament and costs $120 per boat. Takeoff order for day 1 is based on the team's regular season finish (i.e. 1st place in points will be boat 1 to launch). They takeoff order for day 2 will be based on finishing position after day 1.

Any team is welcome to fish the club championship (even if you didn't qualify). Those that have qualified will be eligible for the $1,500 championship bonus.

There are three ways to qualify for the championship tournament:

  1. Finish Top 10 in the point standings for the season.

  2. Win a regular season tournament.

  3. Fish at least 8 out of the 10 regular season tournaments.
